Run, Recycle and Breathe

Run, Recycle and Breathe

On January 23, 2022 in Santa Pola (Alicante – Spain) begins one of the best half marathons in Spain; the Mitja marató de Santa Pola, considered within the 4 best in the national territory, with almost 10,000 runners.

The Department of the Generalitat Valenciana and Ecoembes collaborate in the Mitja Marató de Santa Pola through the campaign “Run, Recycling and Breathing” with the aim of encouraging recycling in the sports field and informing on the importance of recycling packaging correctly. Recycling containers helps us to maintain cleaner air, which helps improve the pace and breathing of marathons that this year run together again.

Ecoembes is committed to these tests with the aim of encouraging participants and athletes in general, to separate the containers and deposit them in the corresponding container for recycling.

During the race there will be a wide deployment of more than 30 containers in the goal and post-target zone and next to the victualling points, places where thousands of participants use (and discard) containers, such as plastic cans and bottles, for hydration.

Run, Recycle and Breathe

Corridors will be able to find information to resolve possible doubts about recycling waste.

On the other hand, Ecoembes will carry out an important informative activity, collaborating with the organization in all the communications that are carried out with collaborators, runners, fans and in general with all the followers of the marathons to whom they want to transfer the importance and benefits of recycling correctly the containers that we generate daily, also during the time dedicated to the sport. When you recycle your packaging, it's part of a world that keeps spinning.
