Global demand for corrugated cardboard boxes will increase by 4.0 percent annually through 2017, according to a study recently published by market research company Freedonia. This growth will represent a marked acceleration compared with recent years, when the more developed world markets of North America and Western Europe experienced slow increases—or even declines—in demand for corrugated cardboard boxes.
To the extent that economies are strengthened, demand for manufactured goods increases as a natural matter, stimulating sales of related packaging such as boxes corrugated cardboard.
