In the course of the past holidays, with their corresponding gifts and the increase in online shopping, homes were invaded by lots of cardboard boxes of all sizes and sizes. Many of these boxes ended up in the blue recycling containers (unfortunately there are still people who do not use them for recycling). Others stayed in the houses waiting to be used again.
Select and store the cardboard boxes that we have received and that are in better condition.
Packing antiques or objects, moving house, decorations, costume-making, toys for pets and, of course, parcel shipping are just some of the endless uses for this pile of cardboard boxes. You never know when you might need a good cardboard box. When you need one, you appreciate having it to hand, and if you threw it away, you deeply regret it. That is why it makes sense to select and keep the cardboard boxes you receive that are in the best condition.
Keeping and storing them at home without taking up too much space is simple: instead of keeping used cardboard boxes fully assembled, as they arrive at our home or are given to us at the supermarket, we can fold them into a more or less flat sheet. We can keep stacking other folded cardboard boxes on top until we have the materials we think may be useful in the future. If for any reason we eventually do not need the cardboard we have accumulated, we can always return to the previous step and recycle these used cardboard boxes in the blue bin.
Once folded, the larger boxes can be stored under the bed (they are a perfect insulation against moisture), while we can store the smaller ones in the space between a cabinet and a wall, on some shelf under the clothes, or in any other space that we can think of.
