More than 300 leaders attended the FEFCO Summit (European Federation of Corrugated Cardboard Manufacturers) in Austria, at the Vienna Marriott Hotel from 18 to 20 April 2012. On Thursday, April 19, Roberto Villaquirán, CEO of the European Packaging Division of SKG (Smurfit Kappa Group), took over the management of FEFCO.
Alexander Enzenberg, Chairman of FEFCO's Communications Committee, welcomed participants to Vienna and presented a market overview.
Under the general theme “Open the magic box”, he spoke to FEFCO members about a wide range of future business issues, specifically the challenges facing the corrugated cardboard industry, what customers are doing and what supply chains want and need, legislation and environmental impact, the main economic and financial trends in Europe, and the latest developments in China's paper and cardboard industry.
